To ourOVS families,

OVS takes our state testing very seriously and would like to stress the imporance of our students making arrangements to be at Okeechobee Achievement Acadamy on their testing day at 1:45 PM to prepare for the 2:00 PM testing each day they are to test. The students should bring their chromebook, charger and headphones/earbuds that plug into the computer. (No bluetooth devices are allowed.)

If you have questions or concerns about a state exam that your child is scheduled to take, please reach out to the OVS teacher first and we will try our best to address your question or concern.

Skyward App not working?

You may have noticed that your Skyward app on your phone (or bookmarked link on the computer) stopped working when our server crashed. In order to get the app working again, delete your current app and re-download the Skyward app. Allow the app to search by location and then choose Okeechobee County School District to sign in. If you need help with your login information, please call the school office at 863-462-5152.

Need to do a DBA?

OVS Middle and High School Students:

Many of you have DBAs scheduled with your teacher between now and the end of the semester. If you miss your scheduled DBA, we have another option for you:

You can complete your DBA by going to the Open DBA zoom any day from 12/11/21 (Saturday) - 12/17/21 (Friday) from 9 AM to 9 PM by going to the following link:

Our OVS teachers are available to assist you. Please wait in the waiting room until a teacher pulls you into a breakout room for your DBA.

Remember that while you are waiting for a DBA you should complete any and all work that does not require one.

2nd Semester Enrollment

Okeechobee Virtual School is now accepting enrollment for next semester.

You must come to the main office at OAA to complete a short enrollment form by the December 14th deadline.

We will have two orientations for new OVS students: Wednesday, November 15th from 6-8 PM and Wednesday, December 15th from 6-8 PM.

Please remember that students who register for OVS are making a full semester commitment to the program.

Current OVS students who plan to continue with virtual school for next semester do not need to complete an enrollment form; however, if you plan to return face to face in January, please contact us at (863) 462-5125.

OVS Tutorial Starting 11/8/21

We are excited to offer weekly tutorial for OVS students beginning next week on November 8th.

All OVS students are eligible to participate, and there is no sign up required; however, you will need to provide your own transportation. Tutoring is available every Monday and Wednesday from 2:00-3:30 PM at Okeechobee Achievement Academy.

Our program will run from November 8th, 2021 through April 27th, 2022 excluding the following dates:

November 22nd and 24th

December 20th, 22nd, 27th, and 29th

January 3rd, 5th, and 17th (Holiday)

February 21st (Holiday)

March 14th and 16th

This is an excellent opportunity for students who are behind on their work or just need a little extra support. We hope to see you on Monday, November 8th!
